On April 6th, 2018, the team bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos was struck by a semi-trailer truck that failed to yield at a flashing stop sign. The crash killed players, coaches and team doctors. 16 people lost their lives and 13 were injured.
5 months later, the Broncos return to the ice including 2 of the surviving members from last year's team. The Broncos are in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
