14 years ago tonight, The Rolling Stones played three songs during the half-time show of Super Bowl XL in Detroit. (Steelers beat the Seahawks)

This was two years after the Super Bowl 38 half-time show controversy with Janet Jackson, so a five-second delay was imposed along with censored lyrics – which was used during the first two songs of their performance because of what ABC considered as ‘sexually explicit content’. They played "Start Me Up," "Rough Justice," and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction.”
