We now know the name of a 6 year old girl who drowned while on an outing at an Eastern Iowa beach with other children from a day care program.

The incident was reported about 2pm Thursday to Johnson County emergency communications. A group of teenagers found an unresponsive child in the water at Lake MacBride State Park. The teens got the child out of the lake and performed CPR.

However, the child was pronounced dead at the scene by a University of Iowa Hospital AirCare physician.

The girl is identified as 6 year old Alaina "Lainee" Hauskins. Lainie was at the beach with 25 other children from the Kids Kampus Learning Center in Cedar Rapids.

According to sources, Lainie is the daughter of the day care owner, Shawn Hauskins.

Foul play is not suspected in the incident, but it remains under investigation.
