DEPUTIES FOUND THE VEHICLE; THE DRIVER, 33 YEAR OLD TESSA GROTEGUT OF WAUKON, WAS INITIALLY ARRESTED FOR OWI.
AFTER BEING TAKEN INTO CUSTODY, OFFICERS FOUND 12 GRAMS OF METHAMPHETAMINE IN HER POSSESSION, PACKAGED FOR SALE, AS WELL AS TWO SETS OF DIGITAL SCALES.

WHEN SHE WAS PROCESSED AT THE FAYETTE COUNTY JAIL IN WEST UNION, A BODY SEARCH TURNED UP MORE METH ON HER PERSON. GROTEGUT WAS THEN CHARGED WITH DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED ON A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-THIRD OFFENSE, CONSPIRACY/POSSESSION OF METH WITH INTENT TO DELIVER, AND POSSESSING CONTRABAND WHILE IN A JAIL.

IF CONVICTED OF ALL CHARGES, GROTEGUT COULD FACE UP TO 20 YEARS IN PRISON.
