Woman Charged with Bringing Paraphernalia into Jail
An area woman faces charges after being arrested on an alcohol-related violation, and then also taking drug paraphernalia into the county jail.
Shortly after 6pm Thursday (July 28), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of an intoxicated person in the street, in the Elgin area.
Fayette County deputies found 53 year old Kimberly Henriksen of Elgin, arresting her for Public Intoxication, which is a Simple Misdemeanor.
After she was arrested and brought to the county jail in West Union, officers found her to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, adding a charge of Introducing Contraband, a Class "D" Felony.
Henriksen was held until her initial court appearance.
