Officials are reminding Waterloo residents that some storm debris can be dropped off at the city's yard waste site, as the clean-up continues from severe weather on Wednesday (May 17, 2017).

According to Waterloo Sanitation Supervisor Sam Barrett, tree branches and limbs under four inches in diameter are accepted at the site. He said larger branches must be transported to the Black Hawk County landfill or other legitimate location.

Residents are reminded that all loads must be covered to prevent littering and unsafe road conditions, per city ordinance.

The city of Waterloo's yard waste is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The site is located at 2749 Independence Ave.

Any questions can be addressed to the Sanitation Department at 319-291-4445.
