Two people were arrested on drug-related charges in Fayette County on Wednesday (July 13, 2016).

Sheriff's officials took a man and woman into custody after executing a search warrant at a residence on "J" Avenue in West Union. Deputies said they seized several items during the search, including drug paraphernalia.

Authorities immediately charged Kevin Tiefel, 48, with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while his license was suspended. The woman -- Sally Pinkerton, 50, of Waterloo -- was arrested on Thursday (July 14) after officials completed the investigation. See, too, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tiefel and Pinkerton were both taken to the Fayette County Jail in West Union, and held until their appearance before a magistrate.
