A Waterloo teenager is accused of robbing a local business Monday night (Oct. 12, 2015).

Police were called to Mr. Jay's Cafe at 927 W. 5th St. around 7:30 p.m. on the report of an armed robbery at the business.

During the investigation, officers identified Seyveion Marchele James Hayes, 16, as the suspect. Waterloo police Sgt. Michael Rasmussen said officers took Hayes into custody without incident on Tuesday and transported him to the Black Hawk County jail.

Hayes is charged with first-degree robbery.
