Students attending public schools in Waterloo will be going to classes on Good Friday (April 18, 2014) this year, if there are no more cancelled days. The extreme weather conditions this winter have caused five school cancellations in Waterloo this year.

District officials say if there are no more snow days this month, making up a snow day on Good Friday means the school year would end on Friday, June 6th and keep classes from going into the second week of June.
However, district officials say if another snow day happens, students will have April 18th off as originally planned.
According to district officials, several people were involved in the decision-making process, including members of the Board of Education, school administrators, parents, religious and community leaders.
