Waterloo Motel Robbery Under Investigation

Waterloo police are searching for a suspect who robbed a local motel at gunpoint Wednesday night (Jan. 25, 2017).

Dispatch received a call of a robbery in progress at the Motel 6 on Logan Ave. (U.S. Highway 63) around 6:45 p.m. The suspect had already fled the area by the time officers arrived.

According to Captain Dave Mohlis, the suspect displayed a handgun and got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Mohlis said no one was injured in the hold-up.
