A late night fire damaged a mobile home in Waterloo on Thursday (March 2, 2017).

Crews were called to extinguish a fire in the Woodland Terrace Mobile Home Park off Independence Ave. around 11 p.m. The blaze broke out in unit at 1911 Manitoba Ave.

According to Waterloo Fire Rescue officials, the blaze started in a bedroom of the trailer home. The cause remains under investigation.

The family was able to escape without any injuries, but officials said two people were checked at the scene for possible smoke inhalation.
