Waterloo Man Found Guilty Of Murder

A Waterloo man accused of a fatally stabbing his girlfriend's brother has been convicted of murder.

Martez Smith was found guilty this week of first-degree murder in the stabbing of Shawonyta "Marq" Norman. Smith was also found guilty of domestic violence for shoving girlfriend Latres Johnson.

The incident occurred outside Smith and Johnson's home in November 2014. Smith faces life in prison. Sentencing will be at a later date.
