Waterloo Holiday Garbage Collection Schedule

City of Waterloo offices will be closed Friday, December 23, 2016 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Friday’s garbage collection has been moved to Saturday, December 24th.

Residents should place their garbage carts curbside by 6:00 a.m. the 24th.

CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL
The Sanitation Department will pick up Christmas trees curbside on normal garbage route days starting Tuesday, January 10th through Friday, January 20th. Please place trees clear of garbage carts to eliminate interference with automated garbage pick-up.

Trees over 6 feet in length must be cut in half. Trees should not be wrapped in plastic bags, contain any metal, wire, plastic, decorations or bases. Flocked trees, artificial trees, trees with decorations/lights/garland will not be collected. Wreaths and other manufactured products containing wire should be disposed of through regular garbage service.
