Waterloo Garbage/Recycling Holiday Schedule

With the Holiday Season upon us, presents are the only thing we need to consider. The men and women who pick up your trash ever week have vacation too and the Waterloo Garbage/Recycling schedule will be adapted to consider that.

Due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, garbage collection in the City of Waterloo has been rescheduled as follows:

• Thursday, December 24th garbage routes will be collected Saturday, December 26th.
• Friday, December 25th garbage routes will be collected Monday, December 28th.
• Friday, January 1st garbage and recycle routes will be collected Monday, January 4, 2016.

CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL

Curbside collection of Christmas trees will begin on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 through Friday, January 15, 2016. Christmas trees will be collected on your normal garbage route day. Citizens may use the drop off site for Christmas trees located at 3505 Easton Avenue, Monday – Friday, January 5, 2016 – January 22, 2016 from 11am – 4pm.
Residents should have their containers and/or Christmas trees curbside by 6:00 a.m. the day of scheduled pick-up. Questions regarding the collection scheduled should be addressed to the Sanitation Department at 291-4445.
