Police have arrested three men on charges connected to a weekend fight at a Waterloo convenience store.

Officers were called to Prime Mart, at 508 Broadway St., when an altercation happened at the business Friday night (April 17, 2015). Police responded to the convenience store after an employee activated an alarm.

According to Waterloo police Lieutenant Greg Fangman, a fight was in progress when officers arrived at the scene. As the subjects involved in the altercation left the business, police said several shots were fired at a vehicle in the parking lot.

Following an investigation, police have arrested Cameron Winters, 23; Marshondus Brown, 23; and Kalon Bruce, 22. Winters and Brown are both charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, going armed with intent, and carrying weapons. Brown and Bruce were also charged with disorderly conduct.

Friday's fight is the latest in a series of incidents that have occurred at Prime Mart in the past four months.

On December 6, 2014, Orintheo Campbell Jr. was fatally wounded in a shooting outside the convenience store. James Robert Ernst II of Cedar Rapids is charged with first-degree murder in Campbell's death. Two weeks after the fatal shooting, on December 26, five people were stabbed in a fight at Prime Mart.
