Waterloo Police are investigating a hit and run, in which a young boy was struck by a car Wednesday night.

The incident happened about 8pm, near the intersection of Campbell Avenue and Marsh Street, near the Six Corners area. 10 year old Tysen Taylor had been playing football, when he ran out onto the street to retrieve the ball.

A truck struck Tysen; after briefly stopping to see if Tysen was ok, the driver sped off.

Tysen was taken to Allen Hospital by private vehicle. He had to have stitches in his head, and also sustained road rash to a good portion of his body.

Meanwhile, Waterloo Police are on the lookout for a blue pickup; surveillance cameras from nearby stores are being checked.
