Waterloo Assault Results in Death

One person is dead following an assault in Waterloo.

The incident happened early this (Friday) morning, when Waterloo police were called out at about 4:30am to the report of an assault in the 1600 block of Randolph Street.

The victim of the assault, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital. According to sources, that person has now died from their injuries.

No arrests have been reported yet; meanwhile, investigators have closed Randolph Street in the area of the assault incident.
