On January 30, 2015 at approximately 1:41 AM Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence in Washburn on a report that the residence had been hit by gun fire.  The residence was occupied by one person at the time of the shooting and that person was not injured.  A car and the residence both were struck by bullets.

While responding to the location a deputy observed that several stop signs and mailbox posts had been knocked down on Schrock RD.

Through the investigation deputies developed a suspect and he was observed operating a vehicle in Hudson by a Hudson Police Officer.  The suspect had also struck several stop signs in the city of Hudson.  Tyler Rockwell Moen was stopped by deputies and the Hudson officer.  Moen and the person in the residence were acquaintances.

Deputies took Tyler Rockwell Moen, age 32 of 2136 Pietrie RD. Waterloo into custody and charged him with Intimidation With A Dangerous Weapon, Terroristic Threats, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischid in the Third Degree.  He is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail.

The investigation is continuing.
