The 12th-ranked Knights (31-11 overall, 20-8 IIAC) are favored to win the tournament (May 7-9) and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional they are hosting in Waterloo next week.

SAT., MAY 9 - Coe 12, #12 Wartburg 7 (IIAC Tournament Championship Game)
Senior Jackson Litterer (Waverly) hit his first career home run -- a grand slam -- in the second inning to put Wartburg ahead 4-1, but Coe took control of the game with a six-run sixth inning. Junior Milton Croes (Noord, Aruba) was 3-for-3 at the plate and scored three runs for the Knights, who will learn Monday morning if they receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Regional that Wartburg is hosting in Waterloo.

SAT., MAY 9 - #12 Wartburg 4, Central 3 (IIAC Tournament Elimination Game)
Walk-off single by junior Tyler Willis (Waverly) plates the winning run for Wartburg, which rallied with three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning.

FRI., MAY 8 - Coe 6, #12 Wartburg 3 (IIAC Tournament Semifinals)
Junior Ryan Kemp (Kemp) went 3-for-4 at the plate, while senior D.J. Utley (Cedar Rapids) was 2-for-4. Top-seeded Knights suffer first loss in tournament. They face either Loras, Luther or Central at 10 a.m. Saturday in an elimination game.

THU., MAY 7 - #12 Wartburg 7, Luther 6 (IIAC Tournament Quarterfinals)
Junior Ryan Kemp (Keokuk) won the game with a solo home run in the eighth inning. Kemp, junior Tyler Willis (Waverly) and sophomore Jake Thumann (DeWitt) all went 2-for-4 at the plate. The Knights built a 6-0 lead, before Luther rallied with a five-run seventh inning and a one-run eighth.

FRI., MAY 1 - St. Thomas 6, #11 Wartburg 4
D.J. Utley (Cedar Rapids) went 2-for-4, including a two-run home run. Jackson Litterer (Waverly) was 2-for-5.

MON., APR 27 - Game 2: #8 Wartburg 12, Simpson 0 (7 innings)  [ Game Summary ]

Jake Thumann (DeWitt) went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI. Junior Parker Bolt (Reinbeck) earned the win, pitching six innings and recording eight strikeouts.

MON., APR 27 - Game 1: #8 Wartburg 4, Simpson 0 [ Game Summary ]
Ryan Kemp (Keokuk) went 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in all four runs. He hit an inside-the-park home run and was a triple shy of the cycle. Sophomore Max Langheinrich (Minnetonka, Minn.) pitched a complete-game two-hitter and struck out a career-best 10 batters, just three shy of the school record. The win clinched the Iowa Conference regular-season title outright for the Knights.

Sophomore Taylor Gilson (Oelwein) earned his team-best seventh win of the season and pitched his first career complete game and struck out four.
