Black Hawk County Deputies responded to an accident on Highway 20 with injuries this morning (Tuesday, January 5th).

Around 7:30 A.M. this morning (1/5/16)  Black Hawk County Deputies responded to a rollover motor vehicle accident with injuries on Hwy 20 near mile marker 240. Upon arrival Deputies discovered a red 2006 Chevy Impala lying on it's side in the eastbound lane of Hwy 20.

Witness reported the vehicle was initially travelling westbound on Hwy 20 when it lost control and entered the median and rolled before it came to rest in the eastbound lane of Hwy 20.

The vehicle was driven by John Adam Barker,28, of Waterloo who was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Barker was the only occupant of the vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.

Deputies were assisted by Gilbertville Fire Department and Jesup Ambulance.
