Former University of Northern Iowa player-turned-head coach Bobbi Petersen earned her career 400th coaching win as a Panther. Two former area high school stars helped secure the victory.

UNI traveled to Peoria, Ill., and scored a 3-0 win over the Bradley Braves at the Renaissance Coliseum Tuesday night. The Panthers won in straight sets, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

It was the fifth-straight win for UNI (9-7 overall, 3-0 MVC), and two former Northeast Iowa high school standouts help score the victory. Dike-New Hartford graduate Bri Weber put down 10 kills and added 17 digs for her 11th double-double. Jesup's Piper Thomas added eight kills, and her hitting percentage is a solid .444.

UNI also recorded a .274 hitting percentage - the fifth straight match that the Panthers have hit .250 or better. It was also UNI's first sweep of the season.

Bradley (5-9, 0-2) lost its eight-straight match on the season.

NEXT UP: The Panthers will be in action again with a pair of road matches this weekend, playing at Indiana State on Friday and at Illinois State on Saturday.
