UNI will play five football games at home in 2015 after opening the season against Iowa State in Ames.

The Panthers' 2015 schedule was release by UNI athletic officials today (Wednesday, December 12, 2014).

The 11-game slate begins with a Sept. 5 road game against the Cyclones at Jack Trice Stadium. The last time UNI played Iowa State was in 2013, when the Panthers beat the Cyclones 28-20. Two of Head Coach Mark Farley’s wins over FBS opponents have come against UNI's in-state rival.

The Panthers' home-opener will be on Sept. 12 against Eastern Washington, which currently ranked fourth nationally and is one of eight teams still in contention to win the FCS national championship this year. UNI is 5-0 all-time against the Eagles in the UNI-Dome, including a 41-38 Division I FCS Playoff win in 2005 on the way to a National Championship game appearance.

For their first out-of-state trip of 2015, the Panthers will travel to San Luis Obispo, California for a game against Cal Poly on Sept. 19. UNI hasn’t faced the Mustangs since 2002, a 29-26 triple-overtime road victory that gave the Panthers a 5-1 lead in the all-time series.

UNI has an off week on Sept. 26 before opening Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) play at Illinois State on Oct. 3. The Panthers will also be on the road the following weekend, playing at North Dakota State (NDSU) on Oct. 10. The Bison, coached by Waterloo native Chris Klieman, are currently seeking their fourth-straight FCS national title. UNI handed NDSU and the Redbirds their only losses of the regular season in 2014.

Homecoming for UNI will be Oct. 17 against Western Illinois. The Panthers have won 21 of their last 26 Homecoming games in the UNI-Dome. Since 1920, they have a 61-25-7 record in Homecoming games.

UNI will play at South Dakota State on Oct. 24, before hosting South Dakota on Oct. 31.

The final home game of the season for UNI will be on Nov. 7 against Indiana State (Family Weekend). November has been a successful month for the Panthers during the Farley era. Since 2001, UNI has a 43-8 record during the Thanksgiving month.

The Panthers travel to Missouri State on Nov. 14 before closing out their 2015 regular-season schedule against Southern Illinois at home on Nov. 21.

The 2015 Division I FCS Playoffs are scheduled to begin on Nov. 28.

Football season ticket renewals are available now with regular season ticket prices, starting at $109.00 or $59.00 for Red Zone or Youth, with no further discounts available.

For current Panther Scholarship Club (PSC) members and UNI faculty/staff, there is a $10/ticket discount on regular season ticket renewals. Deadline to receive the $10/ticket discount is April 1, 2015.

Any season ticket holder from last season who renews their football season tickets for the 2015 season by Dec. 19, 2014, will be entered to win an authentic game-worn UNI football helmet.
