Oklahoma City was the host for the Big 12 Wrestling Championships this past weekend. Among the teams competing were the Iowa State Cyclones and the University of Northern Iowa Panthers, and both schools did not disappoint.

After a shaky start in the 125 lbs. division the Cyclones bounced back and won two more matches all against Oklahoma State. Both wins resulted in a title. In the heavyweight division the Cyclones lost this time at the hands of Wyoming.

As for the Panthers, they went a respectable two-for-two with Bryce Steiert pinning Anthony Mantanona from Oklahoma and claiming the title in the 174 lbs. division. While both teams enjoyed some success in the tournament, it wouldn't be enough. Oklahoma State took home the overall trophy for the 8th straight year.
