Black Hawk County Deputies were called to a two vehicle accident just before Noon today (July 15th, 2015) sending one person to the hospital with injuries.

According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a motor vehicle rollover accident on Highway 63 near Ryter rd. Deputies reported that a green pick up truck driven by 34 year old Jack Hoffman Jr., of Elk Run Heights, was southbound on Highway 63 when he lost control of his vehicle. The pickup entered the median causing the truck to roll several times and into northbound traffic. A semi driven by 76 year old James Cruse of Reinbeck collided with Hoffman's vehicle.

Mr. Hoffman was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his truck. He was transported to a local hopsital with life threatening injuries.

Mr. Cruse was uninjured.

The accident remains under investigation.
