Two young eastern Iowa women are recovering from injuries they sustained in a traffic accident early this morning(Monday, Dec. 12) in Linn County.
Shortly after 12:30am, authorities were notified of vehicles in the ditch on Mount Vernon Road, east of Cedar Rapids.

Officers discovered that a car driven by 16 year old Amadea Temple, was struck by a vehicle driven by 24 year old Rebecca Harms of rural Mount Vernon. Temple had stopped on the side of the road prior to the collision.

Both drivers were taken to St. Lukes hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff.
