Thanks to a tip to law enforcement, a motorist who is not legally allowed to drive, has been arrested following a trip to a residential facility.


Shortly after 6am today (Monday, April 17), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report that a suspended driver had driven to the West Union Residential Facility. When deputies arrived, 37 year old Galina Sagaydak of Mason City was taken into custody for Driving While her License is Suspended, and Driving Without the proper (SR-22) Insurance on File. Sagaydak was taken to the Fayette County jail, and held to make a court appearance.

A Northeast Iowa woman faces drug and other charges after being pulled over in West Union.   A Fayette County deputy performed the traffic stop just after 3:30am Saturday (April 15), at the intersection of North Vine and East Bradford Streets. After investigating, the driver, 24 year old Aimee Upton of Clermont, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, and Operating Without Registration. She was held in jail until an appearance before a magistrate.
