Things From the ’00s That Haven’t Aged Well

The ’00s had its fair share of amusing and/or ridiculous culture, fashion and music trends. And, as this Buzzfeed list demonstrates, many (if not most) of these trends have not aged well at all.

Here are 10 things from the ’00s that were the pinnacle of cool then, but are completely lame now.

1. Asking literally everyone you saw, “Whassup?” This Budweiser ad sure was hilarious at the time, although now its catchphrase seems more worthy of an eyeroll.
2. Getting your capri pant on. We’re not sure who decided this style was hot, but it was barely flattering on anybody and was only good if you lived in warm climates.
3. Really, really f**king terrible *ironic* T-shirts. No, you really aren’t a member of the FBI.
4. Tinted sunglasses, as worn (literally always) by Anastacia. Colored lenses are never a good look unless you’re in The Beatles.
5. Rocking out with your Croc out. Clunky, plastic shoes? No thanks.
6. Those jeans that had a seam down the front, which were a thing for some reason. No wonder we all jumped to skinny jeans so quickly.
7. Completing basically any outfit with your Von Dutch trucker cap. At least it made it easier to spot douchebags in the wild.
8. Charity wristbands for every single cause. Good intentions, but boy did these start to look cheesy (and dirty) after a few wears.
9. Carrying tiny dogs around with you in the street. Thanks to Paris Hilton for this obnoxious trend.
10. The chunkiest wallet chains you could find. This way to the mosh pit, bro.
