The Waterloo Black Hawks are looking for host families to house players during the upcoming season. Hosting a player provides the opportunity to build a lifelong friendship with a terrific young person.

Host families receive a monthly stipend or allowance for housing and meals during the hockey season, plus discounted season tickets. The Black Hawks organization prides itself on finding quality, caring families for players who can offer support, as many leave their own homes for the first time.

Housing families provide a comfortable bridge into being self-sufficient in post-USHL life. During the time a player is not with the team, a host family provides a means for getting away from the game for a while.

For more information on the Black Hawks’ housing program contact the Black Hawks at (319) 232-3444 or email Staci Cirksena at housing@waterlooblackhawks.com.
