Did you know the Guinea Pig is native to the America? Us either and that has nothing to do with Thanksgiving or the beginning of Turkey Day. The facts are surprising, but luckily for us, research has led us to Youtube and It's Okay To Be Smart's Youtube channel.

From fecal forensics to plain ole' turkey research, we've learned that the origins of the food we traditionally eat for Thanksgiving is quite surprising. Did you know that the size of a turkey has doubled since 1930-something? Or that they were bred and traded WAY before Europeans touched American land? BOOOM...mind blown.
