Remember the story about the little girl Remember the story a few weeks ago about the little girl who was disfigured from a pit bull attack being asked to leave a KFC restaurant?Well it turns out the girl’s grandmother made up the entire incident.

Kelly Mullins told the local media in Jackson, Mississippi that her and her granddaughter were asked to leave a KFC because the little girl’s face was “disrupting customers”. But security footage from the restaurant shows that the woman and girl had never visited that KFC.

After this false story went viral, the family received over $135,000 in donations, and free reconstructive surgery for the little girl from a Las Vegas surgeon. The manager and employees of the store have endured harassment and even had received death threats over the story.

If there's a silver lining to this story, it's that 3-year-old Victoria Wilcher is recovering well from her surgery to repair the damage done in the pit bull attack (yes, that part is real). Investigators are weighing their options for charges against the grandmother over the made-up KFC story.
