The Fact Is...

If you fire 2/3's of your top managers, you could increase your company's revenue almost overnight.

This should make the 40 or so top managers in our company happy.  Or not.

So, the majority owner of a Brazilian Company called Semco, was left in control of the company by his father.  Ricardo Semler is his name.  He didn't like the way the company was structured, so on his first day he fired 2/3 of the company's top managers.  Why? "He believes in a radical form of industrial democracy and a more participative system of business. Since he was 25 he has been inspired to want a greater work-life balance for him and his employees."

The best part?  The company went from $4 Million in revenue in 1982 to $212 Million in 2003.

See, the result of too many Top Managers is too many meetings about too many issues that are typically caused by upper management to begin with.  SUCK IT CEO!
