The Fact Is...

The girlfriend of the founder of Match.com dumped him...

for a man she met on Match.com!

We all know that online dating is the norm now.  Match.com itself has over 1.8 million registered users.  The site uses a complex algorithm to suggest dates/mates based on all kinds of different stuff.

Back when online dating had a negative feel to it, Gary Kremen saw potential for it.  So, he created Match.com.  Since most people weren't using online dating services, he had everyone in the company, including himself and his girlfriend, make a profile.

While that may have helped out the company a bit, it backfired on Kremen.  His girlfriend met another man on Match.com and left Kremen for him.  Kremen later said that it was painful, but at least it showed that the site worked.
