Several area teenagers are facing charges after authorities investigated a home invasion.


The incident happened last Tuesday, March 14, in Aurora. The Buchanan County Sheriff had received a 911 call, reporting a home invasion in Aurora. Responding deputies searched the residence and found drugs and drug related items in the home and in a vehicle.

As a result, 19 year old Keith Ohlhauser of Strawberry Point and 18 year old Korey Hutchinson of Masonville were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, and Gathering Where Drugs are Used.
Both were taken to the county jail.

Also charged were four 17 year old juveniles, whose names are not being released. They are from Central City, Aurora, Lamont, and Arlington. All are being charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. One is also being charged with 2nd degree burglary, fourth degree criminal mischief, and a State Drug Tax Stamp Violation; while 2 other juveniles face charges of 4th Degree Theft.

The 4 juveniles will be referred to juvenile court services.

The incident is still under investigation.
