Last night, Ted Nugent had dinner with President Donald Trump in the White House. He posted the above picture of them in the Oval Office to his Facebook page afterward.

"So today is the 242nd anniversary of the Shot Heard Round the World is it!" he wrote. "Well well well looky looky here boogie chillin', I got your Shot Heard Round the World right here in big ol greazyass Washington DC where your 1 & only MotorCity Madman WhackMaster StrapAssasin1 dined with President Donald J Trump at the WhiteHouse to Make America Great Again! Got that? Glowing all American over the top WE THE PEOPLE gory details coming ASAP!! BRACE!"

Although he promised he would tell more later, Nugent for now has shared one detail of the evening in the comments. He said the meal consisted of "incredible lobster salad & lampchops!" He also joked, "hmmmmmmmmmmm.............." when someone asked if he carried a firearm into the White House.

Earlier this morning, Nugent posted a video of himself and his wife, Shemaine, flying back home as he described the evening. He said he was moved not by the office of the president, but 'by the genuine sincerity, down-to-earth, and most importantly, believeable concern and openness, uninhibitedness, family attitude and spirit" of Trump. In addition to the Oval Office, the couple received a personal tour of the building from the president. But he does admit that he was unarmed to the point where he "felt stupid" as he received smirks from the Secret Service.

The Hill notes the Nugents were joined Kid Rock, his fiancee, Audrey Berry and former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who brought the two musicians along. Both Nugent and Rock, coincidentally, have been linked with Senate bids.
