Four people from St. Louis were hurt in a single-vehicle accident in Bremer County early Saturday (July 28, 2018).

According to Bremer County sheriff's officials, the crash occurred around 12:30 AM on U.S. Highway 218/Iowa Highway 27 near Waverly when Bryan Kemper, 28, fell asleep at the wheel. Authorities said Kemper over-corrected after the SUV entered the median. The vehicle crossed back over the northbound lanes, then rolled multiple times in a ditch.

Kemper, and three passengers, were all hurt in the accident. They were taken to the Waverly hospital for treatment.

The crash was investigated by the Bremer County sheriff's officials, with assistance from Waverly Ambulance and the Waverly Fire Department.
