Authorities are searching for a man in a deadly shooting in Charles City Friday night. (June 30, 2017).

A first-degree murder warrant has been issued for the arrest of Antoine Williams, 36, who's believed to be the suspect in the crime. In a press release, Charles City police confirmed Williams is not in custody. Officials consider him to be armed and dangerous and they're warning the public not to approach Williams if he spotted.

Police described Williams as a black male, who is six-foot, seven-inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He may be in a red 2006 Chevy Equinox with Iowa license plates DOW 568, authorities said.

Anyone who sees Williams or know of his whereabouts should call either 911 or Charles City police at 641-228-3366.

Williams is wanted for a shooting that turned deadly. Around 9:45 p.m. Friday, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 2100 block of Clarkview Dr. in Charles City and found one person injured. The victim was later pronounced dead at the local hospital, police said.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is assisting Charles City police in the case.
