The Fayette County Sheriff is asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed a convenience store, armed with a knife.
At about 11pm Wednesday (Aug. 17), authorities received a report of an armed robbery at Charley's Quick Shop in Arlington.

A man, described as white, 5'9", wearing a black mask covering his face, displayed a knife to the clerk and demanded money. The assailant took the cash as well as several packs of cigarettes, and fled. The man was also wearing dark jeans and dark shoes, and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect reportedly drove off in a newer white Cadillac Escalade, driving south out of town on Highway 187.

Deputies were able to recover several items linked to the robbery on the roadway, south on Highway 187.
