Sheriff Investigates Teen Traffic Accident

Authorities continue to investigate a one-car accident near the city of Fayette.

It happened at about 10pm Friday (Dec. 9); the Fayette County sheriff received a 911 call concerning a car in a ditch along Highway 150, a mile north of Fayette.

Responding officers determined that the driver, a 16 year old boy from West Union, was driving south, when he lost control of his 2001 Chevrolet Malibu, and drove into the ditch.

The teen, whose name was not released, was taken to the West Union hospital for treatment.

The Fayette County Sheriff is still looking into the accident.
