In the early morning hours yesterday (5/26/16) Black Hawk County Sheriff Deputies responded to a semi rollover on Hwy 63.

Around 4:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 26th, Black Hawk County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 63 and West Griffith Road on a report of a semi- tractor and trailer that had rolled over into oncoming traffic.

The Kenworth semi-tractor, driven by Robert Seely of Locust Fork, Alabama, was traveling south bound when he encountered high winds from a strong storm cell moving through the area. The semi-tractor and trailer tipped onto the driver's side, landing partially into the north bound lane of traffic. Seely was unable to free himself from the cab of the tractor and had to extricated by rescue personnel. He was then trasnported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. The north and south bound lanes of Highway 63 from West Eagle Road to Highway 58 were closed for approximately two hours while the semi-tractor was righted and removed.

Deputies were assisted on scene by the Hudson Police Department, and Hudson Fire & Rescue. Ray Mount's Towing assisted in uprighting and removing the semi from the roadway.
