Some northeast Iowa school districts are delaying the start of classes today, due to winter weather.

Freezing drizzle has caused many roads across the region to become slick. A dense fog advisory is also posted until 11 AM for several central Iowa counties, including Franklin, Hardin and Marshall.

Below is the list of school announcements for Monday, Jan. 27, 2020.


AGWSR: Hard surface routes

Center Point-Urbana: Delayed 2 hours; No AM Preschool

Denver: Delayed 2 hours; No morning activities

Dunkerton: No morning activities

Green Mountain-Garwin: Buses on hard surface routes until further notice

Union Community: Delayed 2 hours; Buildings open at regular time; Buses on hard surface routes

Vinton-Shellsburg: Delayed 1 hour

Wapsie Valley (including Community Lutheran-Readlyn): Delayed 2 hours

West Central: Delayed 2 hours
