Three Northeast Iowa women were taken to the hospital after two vans collided in rural Black Hawk County.

The accident happened shorty after 2pm Tuesday at an intersection just southeast of Janesville.

37 year old Colleen Drees of West Union was driving a van north on Wagner Road, when she turned left into the path of another van driven by 37 year old Megan Lyons of Janesville.

The vehicles collided, and Drees' van entered a ditch.

Both drivers and a passenger in Drees' van, 20 year old Haley Harden of Calmar, were transported to Allen Hospital in Waterloo to be treated for non-life threatening injures.

Drees is being charged with failure to yield.
