A Northeast Iowa woman is pleading with the public to help her find her service dog, and the reward is growing.

Latham, a black Labrador, was being trained by a group called "Retrieving Freedom".

Latham was living at the home of Jenna Kyhle, located just northeast of Parkersburg, as a foster home, until he is completely trained, and ready to be adopted by another family.

The agency trains dogs to help military vets, kids with autism, and also those with diabetes.

During Latham's stay at Jenna's home, Jenna was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It was determined at that time that Latham would be staying with Jenna, permanently.

However, on Sunday, Latham was let outside, and did not come back. There was speculation that the dog wandered off, chasing an animal, or became disoriented.

A $5,000 reward for Latham's return was offered by an anonymous donor; a few days later, another unknown person offered another $5,000, bringing the reward to a total of $10,000 for the dog's safe return. Latham is not wearing a collar.

According to Jenna, the biggest problem now, is that people are spotting him, but by the time they report it, hours or days later, the dog is gone.

Anyone with information on Latham may call Jenna at 319-493-2046, or Scott Dewey at Retrieving Freedom, at 319-290-0350.
