Waterloo Man Charged With Indecent Exposure

A registered sex offender has been charged with indecent exposure following an incident in Cedar Falls that was reported earlier this year.

William Terry Wright, 28, of 1009 Mulberry Street Apt. #1, Waterloo, was arrested last week.

On May 21, a 22-year-old woman told police that a man in a vehicle allegedly exposed himself to her while she was walking near the intersection of West 26th and Olive streets. According to police, the woman recorded a license plate number and immediately contacted authorities.

Cedar Falls police captain Craig Berte said an investigation into the incident followed and an arrest warrant for Wright was issued in late July. He was taken into custody on Aug 3.

Wright is a registered sex offender, who has a previous conviction for indecent exposure in Iowa.
