Authorities are asking for the public's help in solving a couple of recent theft incidents in rural Fayette County.
On Tuesday (Jan. 17) the Fayette County Sheriff was alerted of a burglary at Rough Country Construction, a business located 2 miles northeast of West Union on Highway 18. Several thousand dollars worth of hand-held cordless and corded construction tools were taken, with the brand names of Dewalt, Milwaukee, Stanley, Bostitch and more. A Rigid gas-powered air compressor was also stolen.

And on Wednesday (Jan. 18) the Fayette County Sheriff was notified of a theft from a rural Maynard farm property. Copper wire was taken off of 2 grain bins, and a battery was stolen from a farm tractor.
