Press Conference To Address Waterloo’s Police Chief

A press conference is scheduled for today (09-19-16) to address concerns about the recent call for Waterloo's Police Chief to step down. Waterloo Police Chief Dan Trelka was asked to step down after the city reached settlements in a series of cases involving the use of excessive force by local police officers

Mayor Quentin Hart and Chief Trelka will provide information regarding the chief's status and future community policing. The press conference is scheduled for 2:30 PM at Waterloo City Hall, 715 Mulberry St., in the basement.
