Police Arrest Waterloo Man – Homicide

The Waterloo Police Department arrested a Waterloo man on homicide charges this past weekend.

Officers from the Waterloo Police Department were dispatched to 119 Locust on the report of shots fired.  Upon arrival Officers and Waterloo Fire personnel found a male gunshot victim, who subsequently died from his injuries.

Officers immediately located and detained a suspect for further investigation. As a result of the investigation, Steve Fordyce Jr, 37, of Waterloo was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder.  The name of the victim is not being released pending family notification and further investigation.

According to witnesses, there has been an ongoing feud between neighbors. The investigation is ongoing.
