The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with an 80-58 victory over the Loyola Ramblers on Wednesday in the McLeod Center.

UNI (12-13 overall, 6-7 MVC) benefited from 18 points off the bench from Nate Buss and had four other players reach double-figure scoring. Marvin Singleton, making his second career start, made 6-of-7 shots from the field and scored 12 points to go along with six rebounds. Matt Bohannon (12 points), Deon Mitchell (11 points) and Seth Tuttle (10 points) all scored 10 or more points on the night.

Loyola (9-16 overall, 4-9 MVC) fell to 0-11 on the road this season. The Ramblers had only one player reach double-figures in scoring as Devon Turk tallied 10 points in a losing cause.

The Ramblers led by as many as six points in the first half at 17-11 and 20-14. UNI closed the half on a 13-5 run to take a 35-27 lead into the intermission.

A Christian Thomas free throw cut the Panther lead to 37-28 with 19:21 left in the second half before UNI went on an 11-3 run to push the margin out to 17 points. UNI would eventually lead by as many as 24 points at 59-35 with 10:39 left in the game.

UNI enjoyed a 34-24 lead in the rebounding battle - snapping a streak of eight straight games the Panthers had been out-rebounded. UNI shot 58.7 percent for the game - marking the seventh time this season that UNI has shot 50 percent or better from the field.

NEXT UP: UNI will travel to Missouri State to take on the Bears at JQH Arena in Springfield, Mo., on Saturday night. The game will tip at 8 p.m. and will be shown live on ESPNU.
