Owners of a Waterloo business are assessing the damages today, after an overnight fire.

Fire crews were called out shortly after midnight this morning, to Bertch Cabinet Manufacturing, located on Crestwood Drive in Waterloo.

A trailer was collecting sawdust outside the mill, when it caught fire. The blaze then spread to the dust collection and conveyor system.

The trailer was destroyed, however there was no damage to the building, and no one was injured.

The exact cause is still under investigation, but officials are looking at the possibility of an overheated bearing that may have started the sawdust on fire.
