An Arlington man has been arrested on drug and weapons charges resulting from traffic stop in Oelwein Thursday morning (June 16, 2016).

According to a post on the Oelwein Police Department's Facebook page, officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 2nd Ave. and 4th St. SE just before 11 a.m.

During the course of the traffic stop, officers arrested Kyle Boleyn, 41, of Arlington. He was taken into custody on the following charges: possession of a firearm and ammunition as a felon (Class D Felony), possession of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine (Class D Felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), and an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violation.

Officers transported Boleyn to the Oelwein police department, where he was processed and booked. Boleyn was being held without bond shortly after his arrest.

According to the Facebook post, the incident involving Boleyn's arrest remains under investigation.
