Oelwein Man Accused Of Slicing Tires With Ice Pick

An Oelwein man is facing several charges connected to a weekend incident in the community of Oran.

According to Fayette County sheriff's officials, deputies arrested Dennis Weaver, 69, after responding to a report that someone was slashing tires with an ice pick on Main St. in Oran Sunday afternoon (June 12, 2016). As part of their investigation, deputies conducted several interviews before taking Weaver into custody.

Officials transported Weaver to the Fayette County jail in West Union, where he was charged with criminal mischief, aggravated assault and possession of a marijuana.
